Dot Transportation is proud to have been named the 2025 Motor Carrier of the Year amongst large fleets by the Illinois Trucking Association (ITA). According to an ITA release, this accolade “recognizes outstanding contributions to the trucking industry, community leadership, and excellence in fleet operations across Illinois”.
“These award winners represent the very best of our industry,” said Matt Hart, Executive Director of the Illinois Trucking Association. “They exemplify leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to their communities and employees. We are honored to recognize their contributions to trucking in Illinois.”
Awards were presented at the ITA Annual Meeting and Expo held September 22-24 in Bloomington, Illinois. Attendees included hundreds of company leaders, executives, and allied partners in the transportation industry. Accepting the award on DTI’s behalf were Roger Still (Transportation Manager), Michelle Bedenbender (Transportation Coordinator), Tera Smith (Transportation Coordinator), Stacy Ashcraft (Transportation Coordinator), and Tim Eckhardt (Senior Director of Safety).
“We work hard every day to make sure DTI is a safe and respected fleet. We are grateful for the support and recognition from the Illinois Trucking Association,” Eckhardt said.
Other nominees in the large fleet category (i.e. more than 151 trucks) included UPS, Prairie Farms, Cadence Premier Logistics, Arka Express, Nussbaum Transportation, ADM, Legacy Express Trucking, EM Cargo LLC, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Meiborg Bros Inc., and Hoffman Transportation. NOTS Logistics and Jung Truck Service received top pick for small and midsize fleets respectively.
